Through our town hall discussions, we hope to create a safe space that we can use to process current social justice events and related issues in the context of our professional community, and to also address challenges, hopes, fears, and ideas we, as future psychologists, are wrestling with in the face of current events. Through our dialogue, we intend to provide ideas for and opportunities to take action, and will discuss how you can effectively communicate these ideas to your graduate school and/or externship or internship programs. Finally, though there will be pre-selected individuals facilitating the dialogue, there will be opportunities for you to serve as a future facilitator if you participate in a conference call.

Our History |
This group of students came together following the 2014 deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, and the legal decisions not to indict law enforcement officers involved in their deaths. We have conducted a series of group conference calls for psychology students to discuss and process their reactions to the recent events in Ferguson, Staten Island, and other locations around the United States. We plan to continue to facilitate meaningful dialogue on these tough topics.
